Where the space problem actually comes from
- Complex and estate rules. Many body corporates have explicit clauses prohibiting caravans, trailers, and boats from being parked on the property — visible in common areas or even in your own driveway.
- Garage size. A double garage built for two sedans rarely has room left for a caravan or boat-and-trailer once the cars are in.
- Street parking risk. Where it is allowed, street parking exposes your caravan to theft, vandalism, and traffic — and in many municipalities, long-term street storage of trailers is itself restricted by bylaw.
